Adam Power, President, International Media, CNET Networks Inc, is responsible for the company's operations primarily across Europe and Asia. CNET Networks International Media consists of leading online brands and direct marketing operations in the key markets of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, China, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Australia.
Adam has been instrumental in developing and implementing the strategy that has lead the International operations to its leadership position in business technology, personal technology, gaming and direct marketing. While living in Beijing in 1996, he was a key driver in CNET Networks' China expansion and continued to develop the business over the past 11 years. In addition, he has overseen the successful acquisitions of ZOL, PCHome and XCar in China, along with GameKult and Arts-Cullinaires in France and Silicon in Germany and many others.
Adam became a part of CNET Networks through its acquisition of ZDNet from Ziff-Davis Inc. in 2000. Since 1991, he served in a variety of senior international roles for Ziff-Davis, leading up to his position today as head of CNET Networks' media operations outside the United States, including vice president, Asia for all of Ziff-Davis' Asian businesses. Earlier in his career, Adam launched many successful magazines, newspapers, online sites, events and business units across the globe and is a very frequent flier.
Adam has lived in China, Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco, and Sydney. He is currently located in London, England with his wife and two kids. In his free time, Adam likes to run in the world's great parks; watch Rugby, Cricket and Australian Rules Football; and discover the best beaches the world has to offer.
